Minnesota Announces Participation in the NMLS SAFE Education Requirement

The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) establishes requirements for the licensing and registration of all Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs)*. All MLOs need to be registered with the NMLS, complete education requirements, and pass the state and national SAFE exams to be licensed. To maintain your license, all MLOs need to complete 8 hours of NMLS-approved continuing education each year.
