Our 20-hour NMLS approved course will satisfy the 20-hour SAFE act education requirement for Minnesota. We'll cover the SAFE core subjects of Federal Mortgage Related Laws, Ethics, and Non-Traditional Mortgage Products. In addition, you will learn about mortgage and loan programs, mortgage underwriting and processing principles, loan qualification, closing activities, and financial calculations.
Topics Include: - 3 hours of federal law and regulations
- 3 hours of ethics including fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues
- 2 hours of training related to lending standards for the non-traditional mortgage product marketplace
- 12 hours of instruction on mortgage origination
